The Face Behind the Practice

My name is Brandon N. Peterson, and I'm originally from Paterson, New Jersey. My journey into the mental health field began during my six years of service in the U.S. Military, where I served as a firefighter in Germany, New Mexico and deployed to combat areas. As a firefighter, I had the privilege of helping people through some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Those experiences taught me the importance of compassion, resilience, and showing up for others when they need it most.

When you sit down with me, you're getting somebody who's going to keep it real. No judgment. No pretending. Just a safe space where you can be yourself, say what's on your mind, and figure things out together. Its hard work and no easy task working on yourself, your relationship or your family but it will be worth it.

I primarily use a person-centered approach, while incorporating evidence-based techniques from Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Every client is unique, so I tailor therapy to meet your individual needs, helping you build practical skills, overcome obstacles, and create meaningful, lasting change. Whether you're facing anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, or simply looking to become the best version of yourself, I'm here to support you every step of the way.
